Our Services
YAI delivers vital, therapeutic services to children and families in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems and adults with behavioral health needs.
Our comprehensive range of programs and services advances safe, healthy, happy childhoods and positive family relationships and addresses some of the most critical issues facing adults — including suicide, crisis intervention, homelessness, mental illness and substance abuse. In addition, we are a gateway to statewide community resources.
We offer a broad array of services for children and families — creating homes for vulnerable children and and youth; supporting families in need, conflict or crisis; strengthening communities; reaching out to homeless youth; ensuring safety by working to prevent child abuse and neglect; and advocating for a child-centered, family-focused agenda across Maine.
Our range of services for adults is equally broad — running the gamut from a crisis response system and employee assistance programs to suicide intervention and residential treatment programs for adults affected by mental illness, substance abuse and/or homelessness. We also offer case management services, in-home support and outpatient services.
